GPS system on your rear view mirror

Rear mirror gps system

A company based in Germany have just announced the release of a new gps system called the mirrorpilot that is integrated into your rear view mirror. It comes complete with a touch interface and with a remote control.

Some of its features include:

  • Complete maps of Europe
  • SD Card slot
  • Internal speaker
  • Over 800,000 points of interest (POI’s)
  • Integrated TMC

This seems like a noble idea but we think that the screen is too small however with the use of gps systems on cell phones increasing, this idea might just catch on.

    GPS is the way to future. I see in next 20 years or so , may be no vehicle in our countries will be without gps. However , cost is still a problem , specially in developing nations. But I am sure , with increase in demand the cost will come down. Nice blog.
